A listed Lecturer and Judge for the Northern Counties Photographic Federation (NCPF), I have served on the NCPF Executive for many years, including as Secretary and President, PAGB Representative, Webmaster and currently as Southern Area Representative. I am also a member of the PAGB Executive serving as their FIAP Liaison Officer. PAGB in 2006, and PSA in 2012, have both granted me their Associate Awards for services to photography.
I am also a member PSA and of Circle 36 of the United Postal Postfolios (UPP). I also enjoy entering International Exhibitions, and to date I have achieved over 1,800 acceptances and well in excess of 100 awards. This success has been recognised by Federation De l'Art Photographique (FIAP) with their EFIAP Platinum Award and by PSA granting me their Excellence Award. At the FIAP Congress in Turkey in September 2014 it was with great surprise and pride that I was presented by the FIAP Directory Board with their ESFIAP award for service to that organisation in my capacity as Liaison Officer for PAGB.
It is my good fortune to have a wife, Sheila, who is fully supportive of my work. Having been awarded the Licentiate Distinction, by the RPS, and the PAGB Distinction Award, she is no mean photographer herself. She is also a successful International Exhibitor, gaining the Excellence Award from FIAP and the Proficiency Award from PSA. She shares my love of the landscape is also one of those unsung heroes who work so hard behind the scenes for organised photography, but rarely get the recognition they deserve.
Sheila uses a Pentax K3 II and a K5 camera, but I now use a pair of Canons, a 5D mkIV and a 7D mkII. For Prints we use Fotospeed Papers and their ink flow system.
